Software Engineer – Embedded Vehicle Systems

We’re looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a global digital technology team developing next-generation connectivity platforms for commercial and consumer vehicle applications.

This role partners closely with engineering teams in the U.S. and overseas to design, build, and launch high-quality embedded solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Customize, build, and debug Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Linux kernel
• Support embedded operating systems and board support packages
• Lead board bring-up and support hardware development teams
• Debug device drivers (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, etc.)
• Develop embedded applications across Android, Linux, Windows CE, FreeRTOS, and microcontrollers
• Collaborate with application engineers and backend teams
• Help define hardware architecture aligned with software requirements
• Partner with project managers on scope, timelines, and execution

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of embedded systems software development experience
• Strong experience with AOSP and Linux kernel
• Background in board bring-up and embedded hardware/software integration
• Experience with C, C++, C#, or Java
• Exposure to RTOS (FreeRTOS, Mbed) preferred
• Experience with connectivity protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE, GPS, CAN, LIN, etc.)

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
