About the role

Development of real-time firmware in C/C++ for embedded platforms such as DSP, MCU, ARM, and SoM, both Bare-Metal and with RTOS or Linux.
Independent management of software projects within product development as well as coordination of interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments.
Support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning (including requirements analysis, feasibility studies, and architecture planning) through implementation, error analysis and troubleshooting, prototype testing, to proper documentation.
Ensuring compliance with development processes, coding guidelines, and quality standards, including conducting code reviews and developing best practice approaches.
Research, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies for the continuous improvement of existing systems.

Suitable for both experienced software or development engineers and ambitious graduates interested in hardware-oriented software and embedded development.
Knowledge of development tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, and Jira, as well as basic knowledge of RTOS and Embedded Linux, is desirable.
Team-oriented and independent working style as well as enjoyment in the collaborative development of ideas in a research and development environment.
Target- and solution-oriented communication skills as well as good German and English language skills in spoken and written form.

Initial professional or project experience in development with C/C++ as well as familiarity with agile development methods.
Experience in requirements management and architecture planning is an advantage.
