Qualifications

• Experience in system design from scratch and in the successful execution of complex refactoring phases
• Understanding of real-world impacts of hardware latencies on system architecture and performance
• Experience with Embedded Linux and MCUs as well as knowledge of Yocto (Layers, Recipes, Kernel, User Space)
• Ideally, experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Zephyr
• Proficient in C/C++ and scripting, as well as a structured way of working in German and English; French language skills are an advantage

Responsibilities

• Design of the system architecture for the next generation of devices with i.MX6/AM62P (Yocto) and STM32 (Zephyr)
• Definition of a strategy for machine-internal, distributed communication in the sense of Distributed Intelligence
• Development of automation and tooling to connect development and deployment
• Implementation of security-by-design concepts, including CRA compliance, over the entire system lifecycle
• Responsibility for secure cloud and device update mechanisms
