Responsibilities

• Concept, design, and implementation of hardware-related firmware in C for high-precision measuring systems and positioning drives
• Holistic support of embedded software from the initial product idea through algorithm development to series production readiness
• Systematic testing of the developed solutions
• Ensuring excellent code quality and sound assessment of test and measurement results
• Proactive co-design of new functionalities for the next product generation in an interdisciplinary, agile work environment

Qualifications

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or a comparable qualification
• Many years of professional experience in embedded software development, ideally in various corporate environments
• Excellent knowledge of embedded programming in C and the design of complex algorithms
• Solid knowledge of digital and analog circuit technology as well as industrial measurement technology, sensors, and actuators
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) is desirable
• Ideally, knowledge of common protocols, e.g., CAN, CANopen, IO-Link, Profibus, SPI, or SAE J1939
• Experience in requirements management
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Independent working style and teamwork skills
