Embedded Software Verification Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Verification Engineer to support aerospace software validation and certification activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DO-178C processes, embedded systems testing, and hardware/software integration within avionics environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute software verification activities with a team of 5–10 engineers
• Analyze software requirements and develop comprehensive test cases
• Design and document detailed verification procedures, including coverage analysis
• Execute test cases on target hardware/software platforms and document results
• Perform Hardware/Software Integration Testing (HSIT), module-level, and low-level testing
• Identify, track, and resolve defects in collaboration with development teams
• Conduct Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA) and Data & Control Coupling Analysis (DCCCA)
• Ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standards
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results
• Prepare detailed verification and certification reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system & software engineering)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in embedded software verification
• Strong understanding of DO-178C/DO-178B standards
• Experience with HSIT, low-level, and module-level testing
• Hands-on experience with MBIL (Micro Board In Loop) or similar test environments
• Expertise in code coverage and verification analysis
• Knowledge of Aircraft Electrical Power Distribution Systems
• Experience with DCCCA and SCA (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tools like Polarion CM/CR and DOORS
• Microprocessor experience: MPC5554, MPC7448
• Communication protocols: TTP, ARINC 429 (A429)
• Experience with Secondary Power Distribution Systems (SPDS)
• Scripting knowledge in Python or TCL
• Prior experience with Collins Aerospace platforms (preferred)
