Your Role
In this role, you will take responsibility for the conception, development, and execution of tests for embedded software – with a strong focus on test automation, system integration, and quality assurance. You will work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and QA teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.
Become part of our team now – in an internal and permanent full-time position as Embedded Software Test Engineer (m/f/x) with the following tasks:
Responsibilities
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of automated test scripts and test frameworks for embedded software
- Planning, design, and execution of tests at various levels (unit, integration, system, and regression tests)
- Analysis of test results, identification of errors, and close coordination with development teams for error correction
- Setup and support of test environments, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and simulation-based tests
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to improve requirements and increase test coverage
- Integration of test processes into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab)
- Continuous development of test methods, tools, and processes
- Documentation of test cases, test results, and quality assurance measures
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in testing embedded software, ideally in a safety-critical environment
- In-depth knowledge of test automation and experience with corresponding frameworks (e.g., Pytest)
- Good programming skills in Python and/or C++
- Experience with CI/CD environments, especially GitLab
- Know-how in working with simulators and HiL test systems
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to participate in the verification process – A security check according to SÜG (Ü2) is planned for this activity
