As an Embedded Software Tester in Bad Vilbel, you will be part of a specialized quality assurance team working on the validation of embedded software for the automotive industry. You will work in a modernly equipped test laboratory in the technology park Bad Vilbel. Responsibilities
- Performing manual and automated tests for embedded software components in the automotive sector.
- Creating and maintaining test cases and test plans based on specifications.
- Implementing automated tests using tools such as Python, Robot Framework, or proprietary test frameworks.
- Documenting test results and creating detailed error reports.
- Performing regression tests after software changes.
- Supporting the setup and maintenance of test environments and equipment.
- Assisting with the analysis and reproduction of errors in the lab and on real devices.
- Supporting the improvement of test methodology and test coverage.
- Occasionally contributing to the automation of recurring test processes.
- Participating in the documentation of test processes and results according to automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Assisting with the preparation and execution of quality audits.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field (at least in the 3rd semester).
- Basic knowledge in software development or software testing is required.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git) is required.
- Systematic and structured way of working.
- Well-developed analytical skills and problem-solving understanding.
- Careful and quality-conscious work during test execution.
- Team player with open and constructive communication with developers and other testers.
- Good to very good German and English language skills.
- High willingness to learn and curiosity for new technologies.
- Well-developed ability to precisely document technical issues.
- Basic understanding of the high quality requirements in the automotive industry.
Working Hours
As a working student, you will work 15-20 hours per week, flexibly scheduled according to your timetable. Core working hours are between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. During non-lecture periods, an increase to up to 35 hours per week is possible. Remote work is partially possible for administrative tasks, but laboratory activities require presence. The minimum contract duration is 6 months.
