Software V&V Engineer (Embedded)

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Software Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineers with strong embedded systems background to support avionics software development programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in safety-critical systems and hands-on experience with DO-178 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform software verification and validation (V&V) activities for embedded avionics systems
• Develop and execute test cases for unit, integration (SSIT/HSIT), and system-level testing
• Conduct Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA) including instrumentation, build creation, and coverage analysis
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standards
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and perform root cause analysis
• Document test procedures, results, and verification artifacts
• Support configuration and change management activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software testing/verification for embedded systems
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies: Black-box testing, White-box testing, Boundary value analysis
• Hands-on experience with DO-178B/C standards
• Experience with:
  • Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA)
  • Build instrumentation and coverage tools
  • RTRT tool for SCA activities
• Proficiency in programming languages such as: C, Ada
• Experience with unit, integration, and system-level testing frameworks
• Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)
• Experience in safety-critical or regulated environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with configuration management tools such as: Synergy CM/Change, Polarion / SVN
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities
