Embedded Systems Developer (m/w/d) - Firmware und Hardware - J24781

Overview

You will work in a dedicated development team on firmware and hardware for mechatronic products, contributing from concept to series production. You will benefit from a great deal of creative freedom, short decision-making paths, and targeted learning opportunities for professional development. Technically, you will work with microcontroller platforms such as STM32, ESP32, or similar systems, as well as layout tools like Eagle, KiCad, or comparable tools. In this role, you can expect a combination of embedded software development, hardware integration, and test automation in a modern development environment in the Düsseldorf region.

Your Tasks

• Develop firmware solutions for microcontroller platforms considering real-time requirements
• Maintain existing systems and drive new developments of hardware and software components
• Integrate and evaluate sensors and actuators as well as associated peripherals
• Create and check PCB layouts in coordination with layout tools like Eagle or alternatives
• Perform test and verification measures with oscilloscope and logic analyzer
• Document development statuses and create clear status reports for internal interfaces

Your Profile

• Solid experience with microcontroller platforms such as STM32 or ESP32
• Proficiency in C++ and ideally knowledge in other embedded languages
• Familiarity with common communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, and network protocols TCP/UDP
• Experience in hardware debugging with oscilloscope and logic analyzer
• Proficient use of version control, preferably Git
• Secure communication in German (level B2) and enjoyment of teamwork on technical solutions
