Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test embedded software/firmware for manufacturing equipment and control systems.
Integrate embedded systems with hardware components, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols on the production line.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to embedded systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Optimize existing embedded systems for performance, reliability, and efficiency to enhance production processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical, electrical, production) to define system requirements and integrate solutions.
Develop and execute comprehensive validation and verification plans for embedded software and hardware in manufacturing applications.
Maintain detailed documentation for embedded system designs, code, and test procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS environments.
Hands-on experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC) and peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, DAC, PWM).
Strong understanding and experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
Demonstrated ability to debug hardware/firmware issues using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers.
Experience with schematic review, PCB bring-up, and developing automated test fixtures for manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with sensor and actuator integration in industrial control systems.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET)
Proficiency in FPGA design and VHDL/Verilog
Experience implementing cybersecurity measures for embedded devices
