Embedded Systems Test Engineer (m/w/d)

Overview

You will work in a technical development team on challenging testing tasks for safety-relevant control and automation solutions. You will design test processes, develop test software, and advance test automation and continuous integration. You will use programming languages and embedded platforms such as Python, C/C++, as well as Linux and real-time environments, and work with versioning and CI toolchains like Git and common CI systems. The role offers you a lot of responsibility, room for professional development, and the opportunity to build modern test infrastructures.

Your Tasks

• Perform structured test activities and document results across various projects
• Create and expand test software to automate test runs
• Maintain and expand CI pipelines and versioning workflows with Git
• Set up test environments and test stands and ensure reproducible test conditions
• Analyze test results and support the team in error diagnosis
• Optimize test processes and contribute suggestions for quality assurance
• Coordinate with interfaces from hardware, software, and manufacturing

Your Profile

• Completed engineering or comparable degree
• Practical experience in software and hardware testing
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and C/C++, as well as Linux-based systems
• Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git) and experience with CI concepts
• Ideally, experience with network technologies such as Ethernet or fieldbuses such as CAN
• Solution-oriented, documentation-focused, and team player
• Proficient in German and English, both written and spoken
