Embedded Tester (SIT)

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Tester (Software Integration Testing - SIT) to support testing activities for a safety-critical handheld medical device. This is a testing-focused role and does not involve development work.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in embedded systems testing, including working with microcontrollers, analyzing software behavior, and executing system-level integration and regression testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform software integration testing (SIT) for embedded systems
• Analyze requirements, design documents, and C/C++ code to develop test scenarios
• Execute system-level integration and regression testing
• Identify gaps in requirements and provide feedback to engineering teams
• Work with embedded hardware setups and test environments
• Participate in design, code, and requirement review discussions

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems testing
• Strong understanding of embedded C/C++ concepts
• Experience with RTOS and non-RTOS microcontroller systems
• Hands-on experience with test hardware and embedded test setups
• Experience creating and executing integration and regression test plans
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical devices or safety-critical systems
• Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven environments

Additional Notes

• This is a testing-only role (no development work involved)
• Onsite presence in Alameda, CA is mandatory
• Only local candidates will be considered
