Senior Client-Facing Role

Amal Embroideries is a leading hand-embroidery company partnering with top luxury fashion houses across France and Italy. Headquartered in Mumbai, with 700 artisans, we also operate a workshop and showroom in Rome, and a creative studio in Paris.

For over 25 years, we have specialized in the research, development, and production of high-end handmade embroideries, combining innovation, craftsmanship, and technical excellence to serve renowned European fashion brands. This is a senior and client-facing role at the intersection of product development, creativity, production, and business development. Based in Paris, you will report to the Director of France, and lead projects end-to-end, manage key client relationships, and act as a central link between our European studios and Indian atelier.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Project Management

• Lead developments from client brief to final delivery
• Translate creative briefs into actionable development plans
• Coordinate with design and production teams in Paris, Rome and Mumbai
• Ensure quality, timelines, and alignment with client expectations

Creative Development

• Drive embroidery sampling with designers
• Research trends, techniques, and materials
• Oversee sourcing of fabrics and components
• Propose innovative developments to clients

Collections & Runway

• Manage runway programs and act as main client contact
• Oversee product lifecycle from concept to delivery
• Monitor costing, pricing, and margins

Production & Quality

• Supervise production with India and Rome teams
• Ensure quality control and resolve issues proactively
• Oversee pricing structure, invoicing, and workflows

Business Development & Brand Representation

• Develop new business across couture, RTW, leather goods, interiors, and artistic collaborations
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships
• Represent the company in Paris and build a strong network

Studio Management (Paris)

• Lead and mentor product developers, junior designers and interns
• Ensure smooth studio operations and a high-end client experience
• Maintain strong team dynamics and organization

Operations & Administration

• Oversee logistics, shipments, and coordination with India
• Validate invoices and monitor revenue
• Ensure efficient administrative processes

Strategy & Growth

• Contribute in defining annual objectives (qualitative & quantitative)
• Implement action plans to drive business growth
• Track performance and contribute to long-term development

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in product development within luxury, textiles, or craftsmanship
• Degree in product development, fashion technology or a related field
• Strong embroidery and textile technical knowledge
• Excellent communication skills (clear, positive, pragmatic)
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, and DXF handling
• Fluent in French and English (Italian is a plus)
• Comfortable working in international, multicultural environments
• Regular travel to India (4-5 times/year for 10-15 days)
• Occasional travel to Italy
