About the role
What awaits you
- You collect, analyze, and prioritize business requirements in the energy sector (generation, trading, grids, sales, market communication, device management, or electromobility) and ensure they are clearly, completely, and implementably incorporated into development.
- With your deep understanding of business processes, architectures, and regulatory requirements in the energy sector, you support product and IT teams in designing solutions that are business-consistent and future-proof.
- You create well-founded business concepts, user stories, and use cases for complex processes. You identify business and process obstacles early on, clarify ambiguities in interfaces, data flows, or regulations, and ensure that end-to-end processes run smoothly.
- You moderate workshops with stakeholders from business, IT, and compliance, bring different perspectives together, and develop viable solution concepts.
- In close collaboration with developers, test teams, architects, and operational business units, you work on viable solutions in agile and hybrid project environments. You use tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms.
- You support test conception and execution, validate results against business requirements, and ensure the quality of the developed solutions.
- You identify optimization potential in existing business processes and IT systems and actively drive continuous improvements.
- As part of our interdisciplinary team, you observe developments in the energy sector (AI, digitalization, IT architectures) and shape the further development of our service portfolio.
What we expect from you
- You have a completed degree (Bachelor/Master) in engineering, computer science, or business administration – a good understanding of energy-related business processes, data flows, and technical contexts in the utilities environment is most important.
- You have experience in gathering, analyzing, and structuring business requirements in projects within the energy sector.
- You have sound knowledge of the energy business and understand the processes and products of leading companies.
- You are familiar with the regulations of the energy sector and know how compliance, security, and stability requirements influence business and technical solutions. Ideally, you have already worked with regulatory requirements.
- You are familiar with data models, interfaces, tests, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps and can confidently assess technical dependencies.
- You are familiar with methods of Requirements Engineering, Business Process Modeling (BPMN), User Story Mapping, and Test Management. Knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) is an advantage.
- You have experience in using AI tools in moderation, team support, and establishing best practices in AI engineering.
- You are passionate about clean requirements work, end-to-end processes, and the further development of modern IT landscapes.
- You are willing to travel and flexible in advising our clients on-site throughout Germany.
- You speak fluent German and English – great, then you will feel right at home at Exxeta.
