Role Overview

We are looking for a technical specialist to help us maximize external financing for BRP's innovative new product development projects. Reporting to the department manager of the Product Development Expertise Center's Support team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with vehicle development teams to manage and produce technical documentation for projects.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit claims by writing technical descriptions of claimed projects.
  • Conduct interviews with engineers from product development teams to gather the necessary information (objectives, methods, difficulties encountered, results, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements and proactively support project managers and leaders in evaluating the technical eligibility of projects.
  • Advocate for project eligibility with government authorities.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in the program and/or newly available financing programs.
  • Actively participate in the improvement of the SR&ED process and related tools.

Requirements – Skills and Qualities

  • A university degree in engineering. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered if related to the job.
  • Ease in connecting with technical staff and strong active listening skills.
  • The ability to analyze complex information and synthesize it into clear and concise documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and rigour to produce precise documents.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time to meet annual deadlines.
  • Professional experience in a product development environment will be considered an asset.
  • The ability to interact with collaborators (write and speak) in French is mandatory.
