How You Can Make a Difference

  • Realization of solutions for all types of ships in a team using TIA, SIMATIC MANAGER, PCS7, STARTER and digital solutions
  • Support in the development of new drive concepts to meet complex customer requirements and creation of project specifications
  • Processing of automated onboard systems (drive, power management, control level) for the implementation of interfaces and complete solutions
  • Creation of simulation and training systems for FATs and customer training facilities
  • Support with functional tests, optimizations, acceptances and handovers to the customer (internal tests, Factory, Harbour and Sea Acceptance Tests) as well as creation and updating of documentation
  • Analysis of customer tenders, support in requirements engineering (incl. opportunities and risks), participation in offer preparation and participation in the on-call duty (telephone support, max. 2 weeks/year)

What You Bring

  • Successful completion of studies in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant professional experience in engineering and commissioning of automation projects with TIA, SIMATIC MANAGER, PCS7, STARTER
  • Basic knowledge of SCADA systems (architecture and general principles) as well as knowledge of industry standards, especially HMI/SCADA systems and the basic philosophy of High Performance HMI
  • Knowledge of PLCs as well as desirable knowledge of high-level language programming (Java, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL) and object-oriented programming (OOP); advantageous experience in shipbuilding (above/underwater)
  • Willingness to travel worldwide as part of the job (customer meetings, commissioning, sea trips, sales support)
  • Team and communication skills, willingness to participate in military projects, and no connection to countries on the German government's list of states
  • Fluent German and English language skills
