An interesting opportunity to join our client's team at a leading Romanian construction company, established in 1991, known for its expertise in turnkey projects and a solid reputation in the industry. The company offers a wide range of services, including architecture, design, and construction, using modern technologies and professional staff. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor (Construction Engineer) to join this organization.
Responsibilities
- Analyse the contract project
- Carry out the preliminary measurements of the works that are part of the scope of the works
- Prepare the summary of the preliminary measurements and the comparative report between the measured quantities and those attached to the contract
- Check the work reports prepared by the site manager based on the preliminary measurements carried out
- Prepare monthly attachments based on the measurements taken together with the site manager
- Weekly check the physical stages executed on site
- Compare the measured works with those in the site journal, the material requirements, and the work reports
- Prepare the summary of the labour activities and send it monthly to the Settlement Specialist
- Prepare the financial statements of the specialist subcontractors and send them monthly to the Settlement Specialist
- Inform the Service Manager weekly about any delays in execution (supply, workforce, lack of execution details, etc.)
- Monitor and signal the need to update the work scheduling chart to the contract management responsible
Requirements
- Solid knowledge in the field of construction engineering
- Ability to calculate the quantities of materials required for construction projects
- Experience in using software specific to construction engineering
- Knowledge of standards and regulations in the construction field
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and precision in execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to work under pressure and meet deadlines
