As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.

Job Function

As part of the Audio/DSP ISV team, need to support Qualcomm Mobile platform customer projects. Candidate should deal with the Audio feature development, customizations based on customer requirements and DSP module integration support and debugging.

Skills / Experience

• 3+ years of experience in embedded domain in DSP and Firmware development.
• Hands‑on experience in Audio Workflow, integration of DSP Audio modules in embedded platforms.
• Hands‑on experience on integrating & debugging audio workflow in real‑time embedded environment is a must.
• Knowledge in Linux ALSA architecture/Audio drivers is a must.
• Experience in optimizing the audio algorithms into DSP platforms is an added advantage.
• Experience in Hexagon framework/SDK is a plus.
• Good RTOS concepts, knowledge of ARM architecture.
• Very good programming experience in C/C++, ARM assembly coding, and debug skills.
• Knowledge of audio digital signal processing is a plus.
• Knowledge in ML accelerators, optimizing algorithms for hardware acceleration cores is a real added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support DSP Audio Algorithm porting including framework customizations, optimizations and issues debugging.
• Provide technical support on end‑to‑end use case implementation on the DSP platform.

Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering
