Join our team at the Weichai Power European Science and Technology Innovation Center as an Engineer or Senior Engineer specializing in automation technology. Your tasks

• Tracking the state-of-the-art / advancements in automation, control and machine intelligence in
• research and
• industrial application
• Developing and formulating ideas for innovations
• Modeling and analysis of dynamical systems based on first-principle as well as data-based modeling
• Design and MiL/HiL testing of architectures for model-based (adaptive) control and AI applications
• Incremental development of new and legacy software in line with the development goals outlined above
• Preparation of technical reports
• Organizing technical meetings and communicating technical results

Your profile

• Master (minimum) / PhD (preferred) degree in either

• Automation, Control, Electrical Engineering, Cybernetics, Physics

• or if otherwise a strong fit, also Computer/Data Science, Mechanical Engineering or comparible fields possible

• Strong background in at least two of the following fields:

• Advanced Control (ideally in the field of adaptive model-based control)

• Machine Learning / Data Science with focus on either application under limited resources or in combination with physical models

• Electro-hydraulic system development for heavy machinery

• Beneficial qualifications:

• Sound skills in software development with e.g. Git, CI/CD, Scrum

• Experience in FOC or temperature control for electric motors

• Background in Numerics or Parameter-distributed System analysis

• Reduced-order Modeling

• More than 5 years work experience or extra-ordinary PhD
