About the role
Overview
Our client in the Defense sector is seeking a motivated Engineering Analyst to support production operations onsite 5 days per week in St. Louis, MO. This role is ideal for someone with a strong STEM foundation and a passion for optimizing manufacturing environments through data‑driven problem solving and continuous improvement. Candidates with an Industrial Engineering background are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production teams by developing and optimizing facility layouts, workflow designs, and process improvements.
- Identify and remove production constraints to improve throughput, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand operational needs and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Utilize data to analyze trends, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and visual layouts to support engineering and production decision‑making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work onsite full‑time in St. Louis, MO.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial Engineering background or relevant hands‑on experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Experience with data analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar).
- Experience using AutoCAD for layout design or facility planning.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing or production operations.
Contract Details
- Duration: 12‑month long‑term contract

- Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
- Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
