Job Description for Engineering Coordinator

The Engineering Coordinator is tasked with maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of the property through regular and emergency maintenance activities. This encompasses addressing repair needs of guests, carrying out preventive maintenance procedures, identifying and resolving equipment and system malfunctions, and upholding a tidy and secure workplace. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems is essential for this role, as well as strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities for Engineering Coordinator

• Address and deal with guest repair and maintenance requests promptly and with professionalism
• Efficiently resolve maintenance issues by maintaining open and clear lines of communication with both guests and staff
• Maintain tools, kitchen appliances, and mechanical equipment through preventative tasks like cleaning and oiling to ensure their optimal functioning
• Scrutinize equipment, tools, and systems visually to recognize any impending concerns
• Maintain a precise list of maintenance items and procure parts as needed
• Foster cooperation among coworkers, align with communal targets, and manage team concerns in a constructive fashion

Qualifications for Engineering Coordinator

• An individual must have completed high school or obtained a G.E.D equivalent to meet the educational requirement.
• Possess experience in a variety of maintenance duties, such as surface preparation and painting for interior and exterior spaces.
• It is beneficial to have prior experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
• Being in possession of a valid driver's license
• Supervisory experience is not a prerequisite
