Your Daily Life
At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales's most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of systems and equipment mobilize know-how in over 80 professions in high-tech defense, security solutions, and digital services.
Within the Radar Engineering Competence Center, responsible for the development of airborne radars, you will take on the responsibilities of Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) and Work Package Manager for a major program.
This major development involves over 200 engineers and implements the most advanced engineering technologies and practices in the System, Hardware, and Software disciplines.
You will be a member of the Core Team of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) led by the program director. You will work in close collaboration with the Program Manager and Project Design Authority of the project, and with all members of the Core Team from Engineering, Industry, Purchasing, and Finance functions.
Responsibilities
As EDM, you are responsible for:
- Meeting the commitments for all engineering services
- The development strategy, including IVVQ
- Excellence in engineering practices in accordance with the strategic plans of the disciplines
- Coordinating engineering activities across the entire development scope of the radar and enabling systems
As WPM for the radar engineering and means package, you are responsible for:
- Meeting commitments for milestones and client and internal deliverables for the package, covering IS, cyber (Weapon System Security), Specialty Engineering, IVVQ, and Test Means disciplines.
Your Profile
As an Engineer, you have at least 10 years of experience in engineering management for embedded equipment or systems development, ideally gained in the defense or aeronautics sector. You have solid experience in systems engineering, managing engineering packages, and leading multi-disciplinary teams. You are familiar with the processes and reference frameworks of a large group's engineering.
You have skills in problem analysis and resolution, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders in a complex project and organizational environment.
You have the ability to rally teams around high-stakes objectives and are driven by collective success. You are recognized for your natural leadership qualities.
