Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of the maintenance electrical, mechanical and boiler making departments.
• Prioritise and delegate daily tasks.
• Ensure optimum productivity and quality of work by subordinates at all times.
• Implement preventative maintenance, reduce time, improve productivity and manage plant modifications.
• Ensure OSH Act compliance.
• SOP’s Job observation and administrative controls.
• Responsible for driving risk assessments in the department.
• Ensure that hazardous tasks and SHE risks have been identified and discussed with employees.
• Chair SHE toolbox talks.
• Discuss relevant SHE incidents and newsletters with employees.
• Check all tools and equipment for defects.
• Maintain adherence to SHE program.
• Ensure work is conducted safely.

Requirements

• Grade 12/N3
• Qualified Millwright with a Red Seal Certificate
• 5 years or more experience in the similar role
• Experience in a wire manufacturing company with good leadership skills.
• PLC and drive experience
