Position Overview

The Engineering Head will lead the company's engineering strategy, design, and guide a multidisciplinary engineering team in delivering advanced food processing solutions at Repute Engineers. The role involves overseeing the design, development, manufacturing, and installation of dairy and food processing plants, ensuring high standards of engineering excellence, innovation, and timely project delivery.

The role requires deep technical expertise in heat transfer technology, process engineering, and large‑scale project execution, along with strong leadership and innovation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Leadership

  • Lead and manage the engineering, design, and technical teams across mechanical, process, automation, and project engineering.
  • Establish engineering standards, best practices, and design protocols for dairy and food processing systems.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in plant design and equipment.
  • Process design & equipment engineering

2. Process & Plant Design

Oversee design and engineering of:

  • Dairy processing plants and solutions including Ice cream plants.
  • Liquid milk processing plants.
  • Beverage solutions for processing of CSD & JNSD products.
  • Aseptic processing systems.
  • Lead development of skid‑mounted automatic and semi‑automatic processing systems.

3. Turnkey Project Execution

  • Manage end‑to‑end engineering execution for turnkey dairy and food processing plants. (design, development, and execution of turnkey processing plants).
  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to client specifications.

4. Technical Strategy & Innovation

  • Develop new product lines and processing technologies in dairy, beverage, and food sectors.
  • Provide technical leadership for solutions involving heat transfer, thermal processing, and process optimization.
  • Introduce automation, digitalization, and energy‑efficient solutions in plant design.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in aseptic processing and food manufacturing.

5. Client & Project Interface

  • Work closely with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
  • Provide technical presentations, engineering proposals, and solution designs.
  • Support the sales team with technical expertise during project acquisition.

6. Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure designs comply with food safety standards, dairy processing regulations, and industry norms.
  • Implement quality control procedures in engineering and manufacturing.
  • Maintain safety standards during plant design and installation.

7. Team Development

  • Build and mentor a high‑performing engineering team.
  • Develop training programs for engineers and project teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Dairy Engineering / Food Technology / Chemical Engineering.
  • Additional certification in project management or process engineering is a plus.

Experience

  • 15‑20 years of relevant experience in dairy, beverage, or food processing equipment/plant engineering, dairy / beverage processing, or industrial process systems.
  • Experience with process design, plant layout, and equipment manufacturing.
  • Experience working with global technology partners or OEMs in the food processing sector.
  • Strong exposure to dairy, beverage, ice cream, or prepared food processing plants.

Tools & Software Familiarity

  • CAD & 3D Design: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, PTC Creo, CATIA
  • Plant Layout & Piping Design: AVEVA E3D, Intergraph, PDMS, CAESAR etc.
  • Project & Resource Management: MS Project, Primavera P6, ERP systems
