Engineering Lead

About

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead to mentor a team of 6 developers and drive technical excellence, architecture, and delivery across our product portfolio. In this role, you will balance strategic technical planning with day-to-day development, working closely with Product Management to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions. You’ll take ownership of distributed system architecture, cloud-native deployments (GCP), and the software development lifecycle, while mentoring your team and fostering a culture of ownership and high performance.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• 10+ years engineering experience
• 3–5 years leadership
• strong distributed systems and cloud expertise
• Agile experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design decisions across services and applications
• Hands-on development in Go, Python, and TypeScript
• Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on GCP (Cloud Run, GKE) using IaC (Terraform)
• Drive code quality, testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence
• Collaborate with Product to translate requirements into technical solutions and roadmap contributions
