Engineering Lead

Your Role

As an Engineering Lead (f/m/d) at LIQID, you will lead a team of software engineers building our next-generation digital wealth management platform — managing over €3 billion in assets.

Your team turns ideas into reliable, scalable and elegant solutions, from client-facing applications to the sophisticated systems that power our investment processes. As a hands‑on engineering leader, you balance technology and people, provide technical direction, write high‑quality code and help your team to grow personally and professionally. You foster an environment of ownership, learning and innovation, and ensure that our products consistently meet the highest quality and performance standards.

Our tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Hono, React/React Native, PostgreSQL, Redis, and GCP.

You empower your team to move fast without compromising on quality, establish best practices, and contribute to shaping LIQID’s technical vision and engineering culture.

What will keep you challenged?

• Own your team’s domain from a technical and architectural perspective
• Drive technical design, code quality, testing, and system reliability best practices
• Actively contribute to the codebase and development lifecycle while unblocking and supporting your team
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering Leads to define and execute the product roadmap
• Foster a high‑performance engineering culture that values autonomy, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve scalability, developer experience, and delivery processes across teams
• Mentor and develop engineers through regular feedback, career planning, and mentoring

What You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in full‑stack development, ideally in a web or mobile environment
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js, familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or React Native and databases such as PostgreSQL or Redis
• Solid understanding of scalable system design, software architecture patterns and clean code principles
• Proven experience mentoring and leading high‑performance engineering teams
• A deep sense of ownership: you take responsibility not just for tasks but for outcomes, and hold yourself and your team accountable for delivering high‑quality work
• A proactive and curious mindset: you continuously learn, share knowledge, and inspire others to grow while anticipating and preventing problems

• Initial Call with our Talent Partner: A casual introduction and discussion to align your expectations with the role.
• Technical Assessment w/ two Senior Team Members: A technical exchange to discuss your experience and expertise in relation to the role.
• Video Call w/ Head of Engineering: You will work on a practical case study to demonstrate your approach and problem‑solving skills.
• In‑Person Meeting: You will meet some team members onsite, tour our office and sit down with our CTO.
