Our client, an established tech client are seeking an Engineering/Algorithms Leader with both technical depth and business acumen to lead our Ads Solution Engineering team.
We expect you to have strong team leadership experience, but also be willing to dive to the front lines to solve the hardest and most critical problems when needed, continuously elevating the team's technical drive.

Responsibilities
You will serve as the critical bridge between business goals and technical execution—aligning expectations with sales and clients, driving efficient delivery by the R&D team, and coordinating across functions including product and operations.
Own the Business Goals
- Directly own business outcomes for your assigned regions, ensuring Solution Engineering (SE) efforts directly contribute to revenue growth and customer success.
- Identify technical bottlenecks in high-value customer and complex scenarios, driving the implementation of customized solutions.
- Improve customer delivery efficiency and satisfaction through technical excellence.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Team Management
- Align expectations across sales, product, operations, R&D, and other functions to drive efficient collaboration on complex projects.
- Manage multiple sub-regions and industry verticals, resolving issues related to fragmented tasks and unclear priorities.
- Lead the SE team in transitioning from an operations-heavy, execution-focused model to a technology-driven, innovation-focused one, reallocating efforts toward innovative solutions and custom customer solutions.
Strong Technical Backstop
- Dive deep into technical details to solve high-difficulty technical problems on either the customer side or system side.
- Act as the technical backstop for key projects, ensuring there is always someone who can step in when the team hits a bottleneck.
- Continuously improve the team's technical breadth and depth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Solid technical background (Engineering /Algorithm) with the ability to dive deep into code and system-level problem-solving.
- Experience in ad tech, recommendation systems, monetization systems, or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, including team building and developing career ladders.
- Experience working with customers or a strong willingness to engage with customers.
- Bilingual communication skills (Chinese & English) – able to liaise with global bilingual stakeholders, communicate efficiently with customers, and collaborate smoothly with internal R&D teams.
Nice-to-Haves
- Proven experience in transforming a team from an operations/execution focus to a technology-driven model.
- Experience managing solution teams across multiple regions and industries.
- Experience delivering customized solutions for Key Accounts (KAs).
Compensation
The proposed base salary range for this position is $350,000 – $500,000, with final compensation depending on experience and qualifications.
