We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our platform teams, focusing on Identity & Access Management (IAM), mailing services, and our backend architecture.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a highly skilled team that defines the technical foundation of our company. The team's main responsibilities include:
Shaping the backend architecture:
- providing guidelines and best practices to ensure high-quality and efficient backend development
- Maintaining and evolving our shop monolith to stay up to date with modern standards
- Developing tooling and boilerplate code to empower other teams to build and manage backend services easily and efficiently
Mailing services:
- maintaining and improving an existing mailing service for templating and delivery, ensuring stability and adaptability to new requirements
Identity & Access Management (IAM):
- supporting teams with a project-based IAM solution that product teams can deploy independently
In this role, you will initially focus on hands-on technical tasks to gain deep understanding of our infrastructure and code. Later, you will take on managerial tasks and serve as the people manager for the team.

- You contribute to development efforts with a focus on backend technologies such as Golang and PHP
- You enjoy removing roadblocks, helping others, creating transparency and alignment
- You advance your team members' skills and careers and inspire them through purpose
- You raise the engineering bar with a passion for software excellence
- You are responsible for the delivery of the IAM and Mailing product within the Developer Experience and Platform Area, balancing time, budget and quality
- You develop, monitor and own relevant KPIs for your teams (cost, SLAs, SLIs, etc.)
- You contribute to guidelines, policies and standards to improve how we work
Your profile - this is what we expect from you
- You have a background in a product team, focusing on the right technical solutions and own your products end-to-end
- You have several years of hands-on engineering experience in Golang and knowledge of PHP
- Initial leadership experience through mentoring, coaching, or in a managerial position is beneficial but not required.
- You should be passionate about people management and want to grow into an Engineering Manager role
- You have experience with cloud and infrastructure resources and are familiar with Kubernetes
- Your communication and interpersonal skills enable effective collaboration with product teams.
- You are fluent in English (C1) and enjoy working in an international environment
- Your approach is results-oriented, with a focus on delivering top-notch solutions
