Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and engineering operations within a fast‑paced poultry production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective plant operations while driving continuous improvement. Required Qualifications

• Possession of an Electrical / Mechanical Engineers Certificate of Competency for Factories.
• Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years’ maintenance / engineering experience within a Poultry / FMCG / Food manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to operate within a pressurised and fast‑paced production environment.
• Knowledge of the 20 Keys Program (added advantage).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of the processing and utilities plant in accordance with the OHS Act 85 of 1993.
• Manage downtime effectively through focused, results‑driven strategies.
• Plan, cost, and execute capital projects.
• Compile the annual maintenance budget.
• Control overall costs within the maintenance environment.
• Manage a large engineering/maintenance labour complement.
• Implement and maintain various 20 Keys projects within the engineering/maintenance department.
• Enforce and sustain sustainability projects in the engineering department as per group policy.
• Interact daily with various departmental and inter‑Group role players at senior
