Position Overview:
This leadership role oversees the Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance departments to ensure all operations, projects, and personnel align with organizational goals and strategic priorities. The position requires a results-driven, hands-on leader who can coordinate technical teams, drive process improvements, and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to achieve company objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all activities and personnel within Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance departments.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Organize daily priorities, workload distribution, and department objectives.
- Drive process development and ensure cross-training among team members.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering, automation, and maintenance concerns from the production floor.
- Plan and manage all aspects of new program launches related to engineering and technical support.
- Monitor and manage labor utilization and department performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with other managers, suppliers, and contractors to support operational goals.
- Develop detailed plans, procedures, and documentation to guide departmental activities.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop multi-disciplinary teams.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Proven experience leading technical teams in a high-volume manufacturing or automotive environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in and around active production areas.
- May be exposed to variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
- Requires multitasking and responsiveness to changing operational needs.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to dust, fumes, and fluctuating temperatures.
- Surfaces may be uneven or slippery due to production activity.
- Occasional outdoor work may be required.
- Appropriate safety protocols and protective equipment (PPE) must be followed at all times.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Required PPE includes safety glasses and other protection as dictated by specific work areas or tasks.
