Head of AI Engineering

About the Role

We are hiring a highly experienced Head of AI Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of production-grade AI systems at Dafinitiq AI.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who has already built and shipped real systems in production—not someone who is "interested in AI" or has theoretical exposure.

You will own engineering execution across AI products, full-stack systems, cloud infrastructure, and delivery pipelines.

What You Will Own

• End-to-end architecture and delivery of AI-powered systems (LLM-based apps, voice agents, automation systems)
• Full-stack engineering ownership (backend, frontend, APIs, databases)
• AI pipeline design, orchestration, and production deployment
• AWS/cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and scaling
• Engineering team leadership and execution management
• Delivery of features under changing and evolving requirements without delays or excuses

Required Experience (Strict)

We are only considering candidates who can prove real, production-level experience in the following areas:

• Built and deployed production AI systems (not demos, not prototypes)
• Strong hands-on experience with LLM-based applications / AI agents / automation systems
• Full-stack development experience (backend + frontend ownership)
• Proven work with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Experience leading engineering teams or owning major technical delivery

Proof of Work Requirement (Mandatory)

This is a high-signal, proof-based role.

Candidates must be able to clearly demonstrate:

• Live systems they have built or shipped
• GitHub repositories, architecture diagrams, or production references
• Previous products, clients, or companies where they directly owned engineering delivery
• Clear explanation of their specific contribution (not team credit ambiguity)

We are explicitly not considering:

• "I worked on a team that…"
• Theoretical AI knowledge without production deployment
• Resume-only experience without verifiable work

• Takes full ownership of outcomes (not excuses)
• Executes under ambiguity and changing requirements
• Solves problems instead of escalating them
• Drives teams to ship consistently and fast
• Operates like a builder, not a coordinator

Nice to Have

• Experience with voice AI systems or real-time AI applications
• Experience with OpenAI / LLM APIs / agent frameworks
• Startup experience in high-speed environments
• Experience building SaaS or AI automation platforms
