As Engineering Manager - Retail Frontend (all genders) at HolidayCheck, you will lead with a focus on people, process, and frontend product excellence. You’ll foster a high‑performance environment where frontend teams build delightful, reliable, and scalable travel experiences. By combining technical leadership with a product‑oriented mindset, you will enable engineers to deliver user‑facing features that have real business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop distributed frontend engineering teams through coaching, mentorship, and career growth
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Design to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of user‑facing features
  • Continuously improve engineering processes to enhance speed, quality, and team productivity
  • Drive alignment across product, design, and engineering to deliver cohesive customer experiences
  • Define and monitor engineering impact through measurable KPIs linked to business outcomes
  • Promote a culture of ownership, inclusion, excellence, and continuous feedback
  • Define and uphold service‑level objectives (SLOs) for frontend reliability and performance
  • Plan team capacity, drive hiring, and scale the team to meet product roadmap needs

Requirements

  • Solid background in engineering, ideally with deep experience in frontend technologies and platforms
  • Proven track record in engineering leadership roles, including team management and organizational development
  • Strong product mindset and ability to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions
  • Experience leading distributed teams across different locations or time zones
  • Operational awareness with a focus on delivery predictability and system reliability
  • Empathetic and outcome‑driven leadership style, focused on enabling others to succeed
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functional and organizational boundaries
