Engineering Manager

About

As we scale our global engineering presence, we're hiring an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and unify three development teams based in India. You'll be the critical bridge between our India engineering org and our US leadership — driving delivery, culture, and technical excellence across time zones.

What You'll Own

• Directly manage and mentor multiple India-based development teams across their day-to-day operations, growth, and delivery
• Serve as the primary point of contact between India teams and US engineering leadership, product, and stakeholders
• Own sprint planning, stand-ups, and delivery cadences that maximize overlap with US teams
• Drive accountability and output — tracking velocity, removing blockers, and keeping all three teams aligned to roadmap priorities
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management for India engineering staff
• Ensure consistent adoption of engineering standards: code quality, PR reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices
• Drive a unified culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance across all India teams — establishing shared rituals, clear delivery standards, and team-level KPIs that reflect both output quality and velocity
• Coordinate architecture discussions and technical decisions with US-based Tech Leads
• Foster a high-trust, outcome-driven culture that thrives across a distributed environment
• This position reports directly to VP of Engineering

What You Bring

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in an engineering management or team lead role
• Proven track record managing multiple teams simultaneously in a distributed or offshore/nearshore model
• Strong technical foundation in the Nexio stack:
  • Node.js, modern JavaScript/TypeScript
  • React (frontend familiarity)
  • Python
  • AWS – Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway
  • Git and modern CI/CD workflows
• Deep understanding of SaaS product development and agile delivery practices
• Experience working with payment systems or fintech platforms (Stripe, Plaid, PCI compliance) is a strong asset
• Excellent English communication skills — written and verbal — for async-first and real-time collaboration across time zones
• Comfortable managing teams remotely across a significant time zone gap.
