Location: Kirkland Lake
The Engineering Manager will use a quality management-based system to grow this division. This division supplies engineering services for a wide variety of customers and their equipment. This position will design and certify equipment as required and under the direction of the Vice President of Canadian Operations/GM and Red Flame Industries Management Team. The Engineering Manager will also act as a full Project Manager for all major projects as assigned, to ensure that all processes are completed to Red Flame Industries standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Must be a certified professional engineer with a minimum of three (3) years of experience • Must have obtained P. Eng designation in either Mechanical Engineering or another applicable field • Must have knowledge of NDE inspection techniques, QC practices, and safe work procedures • Must have knowledge of applicable codes including but not limited to ASME B31.3 and CSA Z662 • Must be familiar with Autodesk software products and tools REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Engineering Manager reports to the Vice President of Canadian Operations/General Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversee the creation of assigned engineering packages and applications • Complete all certifications accurately and efficiently as required • Train and supervise the engineering team • Advise the Management team and project leads on all applicable codes and regulations • Work with operations and sales teams to assist in the growth and development or the organization Additional Responsibilities • Work with the Management team to strategically improve the organization as a whole with a primary focus on Canadian Operations • Develop and implement an efficient process for completing certifications • Ensure all work completed for clients comply with relevant legislation • Ensure quality control is maintained as per RFI quality management system requirements • Follow all applicable RFI work instructions and procedures HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with all Red Flame Industries Health and Safety Policies • Complete all safety training as required be Red Flame Industries policies and industrial regulations • Ensure that staff are adhering to Health and Safety related Red Flame Industries policies, customer requirements and industrial regulations • Participate in RFI health and safety program as necessary MEASUREMENT OF PERFORMANCE • An Engineering Manager will be deemed to be performing in a satisfactory manner when the following have been met or exceeded: • Discharging responsibilities cited in Responsibilities and Duties. • Demonstrating a continual reduction in departmental NCR’s • Ensuring certifications are completed accurately and efficiently #J-18808-Ljbffr
Requirements
