We have an outstanding opportunity available for an Engineering Manager to join a highly respected manufacturer in the Greater Binghamton, NY area.

This is an excellent growth opportunity for a Senior or Lead Engineer ready to step into formal leadership while remaining involved in highly specialized product development and customer-driven engineering programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development Leadership

  • Lead major product development initiatives from concept through production release, including customer engagement, design reviews, supplier coordination, qualification, and manufacturing transition.
  • Drive innovation and execution across new product introductions, product enhancements, and sustainment engineering efforts.
  • Define product roadmaps, technology initiatives, and long-range engineering strategy for the filter connector portfolio.

Engineering & Program Management

  • Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering programs to achieve timelines, cost targets, and technical objectives.
  • Guide engineering decisions through analysis, testing, product requirements, and technical data review.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve design, manufacturing, and quality challenges.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, designers, and technicians through coaching, performance management, and career development.
  • Allocate resources, set priorities, and foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Prior leadership experience or readiness to lead technical teams.
  • Knowledge of Mil/Aero specifications or connector technologies preferred.
  • CAD / PDM system experience such as Creo, Windchill preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
