Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the software engineering team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the team and provide guidance and support in achieving those objectives.
  • Develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and systems that support operations, trading, risk management, portfolio management, and compliance functions.
  • Manage the company’s technology infrastructure, including data centers, cloud services, and networking, to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Ensure that technology systems and applications meet security and compliance requirements, including data protection and access control.
  • Lead the company’s exploration of artificial intelligence as a strategic capability, identifying responsible use cases that support thoughtful innovation, informed decision-making, and operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the compliance and IT teams to address technology-related concerns.
  • Lead technology projects from inception to completion, managing resources, budgets, and timelines.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear engineering objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience managing and scaling engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, modern development stacks, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ability to lead complex projects from concept through delivery, balancing technical excellence with business needs.
  • Knowledge of financial industry technology, including trading systems and data analytics tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Compensation Range

$160,000 – $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Final compensation will reflect alignment with the Firm’s compensation structure and budget for the role.
