Engineering Manager - Backend Technologies

Description : We are hiring an Engineering Manager for one of our clients.

Location : Remote (India)

Experience : 8 - 12 years

Role Overview :

Looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager with strong backend expertise, architectural experience, and team leadership capabilities to drive API-first development and scalable systems.

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong experience in Python and API development (FastAPI preferred)

- Hands-on architecture and system design experience

- Strong exposure to AWS (S3, EC2, EMR, ECS, Lambda)

- Experience with GIS, POI / Location data (US address data preferred)

- Strong SQL and data pipeline experience

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams

- Drive design and delivery of API-first systems and services

- Collaborate with stakeholders for planning and execution

- Strengthen agile practices and improve delivery efficiency

- Contribute hands-on with coding, architecture, and deployments on AWS

- Build scalable data pipelines and location-based systems

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Airflow, Git, and CI/CD pipelines

- Exposure to AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor

- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
