In this Engineering Manager role, you lead a high-impact team of ~10 software engineers to turn product vision into reliable, scalable systems. You will partner with Product Managers, Architecture, and cross-functional teams to define roadmaps, accelerate development with AI tooling, and cultivate a resilient engineering culture. You own delivery timelines, quality, and production releases, while coaching engineers and guiding career growth. You’ll drive hiring and organizational scaling, ensuring delivery aligns with the company strategy. Responsibilities

• Lead a ~10-person software engineering team and own delivery, timelines, quality, and releases
• Drive execution by setting goals, managing dependencies, removing blockers, and ensuring predictable milestones
• Mentor and grow the engineering team, focusing on technical excellence and career progression
• Lead career development, promotions, and compensation planning
• Drive hiring, team scaling, and organizational growth initiatives
• Align product delivery and roadmap execution with company strategy

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong ability to translate high-level technical requirements into actionable plans
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven development
• Experience with distributed systems technologies (Kafka or Kubernetes) preferred
• Experience with Java and Java frameworks (e.g. Spring) preferred
• Proven coaching/mentoring passion and ability to empower others
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments
