Engineering Manager, Design & Applications

About the Role

Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc. is conducting a search on behalf of a well-established designer and manufacturer of engineered-to-order electrical safety products. The Engineering Manager, Design & Applications is an integral role responsible for the development, execution, and ongoing success of complex technical projects. Reporting into senior leadership, this position will lead and mentor a team of Engineers responsible for the design, development, and testing of specialized electrical resistance products. The role also oversees technical and application support functions, strengthening the capabilities of the Technical Customer Support team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Engineers responsible for the design, development, and testing of specialized electrical resistance products.
• Oversee technical and application support functions, strengthening the capabilities of the Technical Customer Support team.
• Establish procedures and best practices, while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety regulations including CSA, UL, IEEE, NEC, and IEC.
• Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering designation is required.
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated at least five years of progressive Engineering and Project Management leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of power electrical systems and components.

Compensation

Our Client’s preferred Salary Target is $95 000 - $110 000 and we encourage all applicants interested in this opportunity to apply. Please note, the hiring salary will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and ability to support the organization.
