Our client is a leading startup AI-native revenue platform for modern finance and accounting teams. Their AI agents automate the entire contract-to-cash lifecycle — including billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting — helping teams eliminate manual work and accelerate cash flow.

They're hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team building core capabilities of the platform. You'll own people leadership, delivery execution, and technical decision-making, while partnering closely with Product and Design. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving engineering processes, and shipping impactful software in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop a team of software engineers through coaching, feedback, and career growth.
  • Own delivery planning and execution for your team, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes.
  • Partner with Product and Design to define scope, timelines, and technical approach.
  • Guide architectural and technical decisions while maintaining a high quality bar.
  • Improve engineering processes, tooling, and team health over time.
  • Hire and onboard new engineers as the team scales.

What You Bring

Required:

  • 7–10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years managing engineers of varying seniorities.
  • Currently or recently (within 1 year) in an Engineering Manager role actively managing engineers (ideally a team of 10+).
  • Recent experience at Series A–Series to D startups (e.g., Ramp, Brex, Rippling, or similar fintech/AI-native startups in NYC). THIS IS REQUIRED
  • CS degree or equivalent technical background.
  • Strong system design fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with — or high interest in — AI/LLM tooling and modern dev workflows.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing teams of mixed seniority (mid-level through staff/tech lead) — ideally 8–15 engineers.
  • Background in B2B SaaS product engineering, ideally in fintech, billing, payments, or revenue/accounting workflows.
