Job Description
Lead, Coach, and Elevate the Engineering Team
- Develop and mentor engineers through clear goals, accountability, and continuous feedback
- Foster a culture of ownership, problem-solving, and collaboration
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Safety to deliver results
Drive Manufacturing Performance
- Maintain a strong on-the-floor presence to resolve real-time production challenges
- Improve throughput, reduce scrap, and optimize labor and processes
- Lead root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions
Own Engineering Execution
- Oversee engineering support for stamping, welding, fabrication, finishing, and automation
- Lead capital projects from concept to implementation, including equipment, robotics, and CNC investments
- Manage RFQs, vendor selection, project timelines, and ROI justification
Champion Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and 7S practices
- Identify and deliver cost-reduction and efficiency opportunities
- Use data, KPIs, and metrics to guide decision-making and measure success
Operate with Structure and Discipline
- Drive quarterly priorities and execute against clearly defined objectives
- Lead through metrics, scorecards, and structured problem-solving
- Align engineering initiatives with broader business goals
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)
- 5-10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Metal fabrication, stamping, and welding experience strongly preferred
- Proven people leadership experience with a track record of team development
- Strong expertise in automation, robotics, and process optimization
- Ability to balance hands-on plant leadership with strategic thinking
- Lean Manufacturing experience required (Six Sigma certification is a plus)
- Experience in an EOS or performance-driven operating environment preferred
