Take on a key role in the implementation of demanding projects in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. As Engineering Manager, you will bear overall technical responsibility for all project phases – from conceptual studies to detailed design and realization. You will lead interdisciplinary teams and ensure the successful implementation of complex projects, such as new or modified production facilities, laboratories, or entire factories.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases
• Technical project management in close cooperation with the Project Manager
• Planning and monitoring of project progress during the entire project execution
• Ensuring technical quality in compliance with customer, authority, and internal standards
• Responsibility for technical reporting to customers and internal stakeholders
• Management of cross-disciplinary planning activities and moderation of design reviews with customers, partners, and suppliers
• Leadership of technical coordination meetings
• Responsibility for scope and change management processes
• Coordination of internal and external approval procedures
• Coaching and further development of the project team

Qualifications

Demonstrate your competencies

• Completed engineering degree (e.g., in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or Architecture)
• Several years of professional experience (typically 5+ years) in a comparable position, including successful implementation of large projects
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing interdisciplinary teams
• Structured, solution-oriented approach and strong hands-on mentality
• Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management
• Strong customer focus and ability to maintain an overview even in challenging situations
• Confident demeanor, proactive work style, and assertiveness
• Fluent German and English skills
• Flexibility and willingness to travel within Switzerland
