About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Vienna within the Engineering Department in Vienna, the Engineering Manager is responsible for various duties. The Engineering Manager reports to the Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the Director of Engineering in implementing technical standards, policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Assume overall technical responsibility in a deputy capacity during the absence of the Director of Engineering.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly KPI reports covering maintenance, energy consumption, and projects.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with FLHSS procedures, including Business Continuity Management.
  • Provide operational leadership and day‑to‑day coordination of internal and external engineering teams.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and relay relevant information to the Director of Engineering.
  • Assist the Director of Engineering with team leadership, scheduling, and development of the engineering staff.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of the Legendary Quality Experience Standards within the technical department.
  • Participate in performance evaluations and monitor labor costs.
  • Support the advancement of digital processes and technical innovations within the department.
  • Assist with telecommunications, safety, and emergency systems.
  • Operate and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Salary

The collective minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €2.492,00. There is a willingness to offer a higher salary depending on qualifications and work experience.
