Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a TSF Manager to oversee the performance, safety, and regulatory compliance of multiple tailings storage facilities across three producing mine sites in the region. With a focus on reducing operational risk and ensuring alignment with global standards, this role plays a critical part in upholding safe and sustainable mining practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate oversight of tailings management at all sites
  • Develop and enforce tailings design criteria and reporting standards
  • Coordinate inspections and performance reviews with Engineers of Record (EORs)
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM)
  • Standardize documentation and monitoring practices across facilities
  • Support site teams with technical guidance and risk mitigation strategies
  • Review tailings performance reports and escalate concerns as needed

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related discipline)
  • At least 10 years of experience in tailings design, monitoring, or oversight
  • Strong knowledge of TSF safety and risk management frameworks
  • Experience working with or coordinating EORs
  • Eligible or in‑progress P.Eng. designation preferred
  • Organized and risk‑aware, with strong communication skills

Remuneration

  • Base Salary $120‑$130K depending on experience
  • Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered
