This is a full-time on-site role for an Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the engineering team, ensuring the effective planning, execution, and completion of projects.

Duties & Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the engineering and technical teams to ensure optimal performance and delivery. • Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures to support operational efficiency. • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. • Oversee project execution to ensure delivery within agreed timelines and financial parameters. • Supervise and schedule the work activities of engineers, technicians, and support teams. • Review and approve engineering designs and ensure alignment with project requirements. • Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting on performance against targets. • Allocate resources effectively in collaboration with senior management. • Ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and met prior to project initiation. • Perform additional duties as required to support business operations.
Desired Experience & Qualification: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential). • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in irrigation design and project management. • Strong proficiency in CAD systems. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Access). • Excellent project management and organisational skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Proven leadership and people management experience. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction. • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Delivery of projects within agreed timelines. • Completion of projects within approved budgets. • Effective allocation and utilisation of resources. • High levels of customer satisfaction. • Accurate understanding of customer requirements with minimal design changes.
Decision-Making Authority: • Approval of engineering designs. • Allocation of staff and resources across projects.
