Engineering Manager Reliability & Operations – Tribe Payment F/H

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical strategy, ensuring compliance with quality, security, and performance standards.
• Collaborate with other managers, tribe members, and partners, ensuring smooth and effective communication.
• Ensure innovation and technological watch, proposing solutions adapted to market needs and challenges.
• Organize and lead follow-up meetings with teams.
• Identify technical projects to be carried out and communicate their progress, risks, and KPIs.
• Ensure project quality standards are met and technical documentation is complete.
• Closely mentor Tech Leads (work on postures, implement best practices to streamline delivery (development, testing, and deployment).
• Implement metrics (in partnership with scrum masters and agile coaches) for monitoring team performance and quality.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a manager in a high-stakes business environment.
• Experience in driving business KPIs.
• Experience in highly constrained environments (high traffic volume, high performance, high data volume) where operational excellence is a fundamental pillar.
• Good knowledge of agile methodologies, modern engineering practices (test automation, continuous integration and deployment, feature flipping, trunk-based development).
• Leadership, organization, and priority management skills. Autonomy and ability to make decisions aligned with the management chain will be an asset for success.
• Ability to work in a team, solve problems, and manage conflicts.
• Excellent level of English, both spoken and written.
• Passionate about development and engineering in general.
• Data-centric: measure first and make decisions based on objective findings.
• Mastery of SRE/DevOps: SLO/SLA, chaos engineering, CI/CD, observability, automation, resilience, cloud/infra.
• Management: Recruitment, experience managing agile teams, rituals like weekly health checks, and Team Topologies application (platform vs. stream-aligned).
• Experience managing an administration team (Hotel Onboarding, PSP and payment method configuration) and L3 support (SNOW incident tickets) and Technical/functional KPIs.
• Experience driving business KPIs (conversion, success rate, churn, contractual SLAs) and not just technical KPIs (CPU, MTTR, errors).
