About the Role

As a CBRE FM Engineering Ops & Automation Manager you will provide technical and operational support to approximately 100 power generation facilities for an Energy sector client. This position will work onsite in Juno Beach, FL three days a week. The other 2 days will be used traveling to client sites throughout Florida. This will be mostly day travel - returning home same day.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Program and install control systems and devices.
  • Manage construction and vendors.
  • Install conduit.
  • Maintain strong HVAC, Mechanical, and Electrical systems and Controls knowledge, including integrations and operations. Understand how these systems operate together.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop goals and initiatives to direct the department's course.
  • Guide managers in implementing company initiatives and policies.
  • Evaluate company processes and procedures to solve issues within them.
  • Ensure business operations are implemented based on established procedures.
  • Keep track of regulatory records and paperwork.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • 2-5 years programming, installing control systems and devices.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity of programming of Alerton, Modbus, BACnet, Lon, JCI, Honeywell.
  • Tridium 4 Certification.
  • Alerton Platinum Certification.
  • Low Voltage Gold Card
  • Safety OSHA 10. OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
