Job Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead mining projects from planning through completion, ensuring strong technical execution, stakeholder alignment, and performance against schedule, budget, and safety objectives. This role is based in Johannesburg.

The role combines technical understanding with strong leadership and commercial awareness, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Planning and managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Leading project execution across engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinating underground and surface mining‑related work, including infrastructure, civil works, plant upgrades, and material handling systems.
• Managing risks, changes, and project controls to maintain predictability and performance.
• Ensuring full compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
• Driving effective communication and alignment across project teams and client interfaces.

Qualifications And Skills Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in project management within mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven experience delivering projects in EPCM or engineering consulting environments.
• Demonstrated success as a Project Manager on EPC/EPCM projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction sequencing, commissioning, and interfaces.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in complex, fast‑paced project environments.
