Robotics Delivery Engineer

Amazon

On-site Full-time Entry Level Yesterday

About the role

About the team

Robotics Delivery for Packaging and Innovation is where innovation meets real‑world impact. We deploy new robotics systems into Amazon's fulfillment centers across Europe. Think of us as the bridge to turning complex technology into solutions that operate at scale from day one. We are a small, ambitious, and diverse team working at the intersection of engineering and execution. You’ll work alongside people who take ownership, move fast, and care about solving hard problems the right way. We value fresh perspectives and clear thinking—asking questions, challenging assumptions, and collaborating closely to get better answers. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility early, supported by experienced teammates, and expected to grow quickly.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage large‑scale engineering projects from concept to completion, including planning, design, installation, and launch.
  • Own and drive project execution across multiple European sites, balancing technical detail with big‑picture delivery.
  • Identify critical path items and develop creative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Drive project status updates and handle risk escalations across multiple teams.
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration across Engineering, Construction, Operations, RME, IT, and Procurement.
  • Run technical design reviews and propose solutions aligned with global standards.
  • Develop equipment specifications and support procurement processes.
  • Lead weekly meetings with internal teams and external vendors to keep projects on track.
  • Build strong partnerships across teams and stakeholders to deliver results.
  • Travel regularly to European sites (≈50%) with occasional international exposure.

A day in the life

From day one, you’ll be close to the action. You might start your morning aligning with teams across Europe on project timelines, join a technical review of new robotic systems, and spend your afternoon solving on‑the‑ground challenges with vendors or site teams. You’ll coordinate across multiple stakeholders, run meetings that keep complex projects moving, and build an understanding of how our technologies operate in real environments. Some days you’ll be on‑site supporting installations; other days you’ll be improving processes or solving technical challenges. This is a fast‑paced, high‑ownership environment where you’ll be trusted with real responsibility early, supported by experienced teammates, and expected to take initiative, learn quickly, and contribute from the start.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication.
  • Experience prioritizing and delivering projects on time in a fast‑moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Interest in learning project management tools and processes.
  • Basic understanding of operational or maintenance processes.
  • Previous internship, academic project, or hands‑on experience in engineering or operations.
