AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Engineering Specialist for Feeder Analysis to join our team in Mississauga. This pivotal role involves leading technical analyses in feeder systems across all CANDU projects.
As a permanent member of our Engineering Excellence team, you will conduct finite element analyses and provide oversight on critical engineering tasks. Your responsibilities will include modeling piping systems, analyzing performance under various conditions, and managing the documentation required for regulatory compliance. Your leadership will guide stress engineers in delivering high-quality outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Model and analyze complex piping systems using FEA techniques
- Perform comprehensive thermal and seismic analyses
- Review and prepare relevant engineering documentation
- Lead project updates and coordinate with various stakeholders
- Interface with regulatory bodies for project approval and compliance
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution
- Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario
- Minimum 15 years of experience in nuclear or heavy industry
- Proficient in using ANSYS Mechanical APDL for FEA
- Extensive knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards
